Molly Saves! in the Laundry Room

When I first opened this issue of Molly Saves! my first thought was "well I don't have a laundry room.  My washer and dryer are in the basement."  But as I dove into this issue I was plesantly surprised.  Just like all the other issues....don't let the "in the Laundry Room" fool you into thinking it is NOT for you!  This issue is packed full of information!

Each issue of Molly Saves! is packed full of money saving tips to fit any area of your life.  From the "This N That" calendar to "Something old to new" there is something that will interest everyone.

My daughter has really stared to love cooking.  So every month I let her go at it with the Molly menu.  We print the shopping list and away she goes.  We live close to the grocery store so she can walk.  It really makes her feel a little more independent.  She is also learning about planning meals right down to how much it will cost.  That is a life skill everyone needs.

She made the Chicken Cacciatore..but with boneless skinless chicken.  It was SO GOOD!!

The thing that I loved best in this issue and will use f.o.r.e.v.e.r is the stain removal chart.  I have printed it and placed it in a plastic sleeve next to the washer.

For only $4.95 you get everything in this issue and so many more articles.  But wait theres more...(I've always wanted to say that) for only $3.95/month you can become a Molly Member where not only do you get the current issue of Molly Saves! but you get many more goodies during the month.  This month we got a free e-book, printable laundry sign, and many other laundry goodies!  Not only that but we got many Thanksgiving printables.

Review~~Molly's Money Saving Digest....January

When i first read the title I though this issue will not be for me...I do not have an office.  BOY was I wrong!  This issue is full of great information on so many things.  This first thing that caught my eye was the word COFFEE right on the front cover.  OH yeah, now that is something I can really get into.    But seriously, have you ever looked at any area in your house and just want to trash it all because it is SO cluttered?  This issue of Molly's digest is full of helpful tips on how to do just that.  One thing I'm working on now is making my own bulletin board.  Everything used to make this I have right here at home.

BUT you don't have to go and buy this issue.  For this month only if you sign up for Molly's newsletter HERE.  If you have been reading my blog for sometime now you know how much I love these digests.  Each month they are full of great tips and articles on saving money.

Review~~Molly's Money Saving Digest~~ September 2010

This issue is filled with many great things.  From how to fill your pantry to turning everyday items into something new.

In the section called Something Old Something New they talk about making candles.  Funny because I have had this candle making kit for a long time now just collecting dust.  So the kids and I went to work making candles.   I'll post pictures when I am able to upload them onto the computer.  We had such a great time.  There is nothing like the soft glow of candles on a cold winters night to warm a body up.

This is just one of many articles in this month's issue of Molly's Money Saving Digest.  For $4.95 you can have a frugal way to stock your pantry, decorate your home and a weeks worth of menus!!

Because of this issue my family once again enjoyed homemade meatballs.  I can't tell you how long it has been since I've made "real" meatballs as my son calls them.  I have issues with raw meat.  I do not like to touch it...LOL!  But I put on my tough skin and did it because I love my family!

Here is a sneak peak on what is inside:

For just $4.95 purchase the September Molly’s Money-Saving Digest now, or become a monthly Molly Member and subscribe for only $3.95 per month!  As a subscriber you get not only the monthly digest but extras all month long!!

You can also go to the Econobusters blog and read about more money saving ideas.  I LOVE this blog!  I have to say it is one of my favorites.

Review~~Molly's Money Saving Digest--August

This was by far my favorite issue yet!!  I have said this many times...I love to garden and "put" up food for the winter.  I've been so busy doing just that I almost forgot to review this.

This issue is named: Storing Summer's Bounty: Canning, Freezing and Dehydrating

This is just what I've been doing!!  WOOHOO!  I couldn't wait to dive right in to this issue and see what Molly had for me.  It started out with one of my favorites...Apples!!  Everything and anything about apples...as well as our favorite...RECIPES!  I can not wait to try the apple pie...as soon as the apples ripen here.

The next item i noticed in this issue that I was SO in need of was the Freezer Inventory sheet!  Our big freezer is in the basement and I do not check on it every day so I tend to forget what is in there.  With this sheet in hand I went downstairs to the freezer to make an inventory.  Guess what i found in there???  2 count them 2 turkeys!!  I couldn't believe my eyes.  With this list I can now keep track of what is down there.

If that wasn't enough each issue has a week's worth of menus in them.  If  you collected all of them you would have 12 weeks already done for you.  Just rotate them through out the year.  The shopping list is already there for you as well.  Not only does planning your menus out ahead of time save you money you also save a lot of time!  Something we all say we need more of.  Below is a little glimpse of what you'll be getting.

So head on over to the Schoolhouse store and purchase this issue.  It is so worth the $4.95.  I didn't even get to the best part yet....the canning and dehydrating!!  You will not be disappointed!!

Review~~Molly Makes $7.00 Slow Cooker Suppers

I don't know about you but I LOVE my slow cooker!! So when I received this Molly Makes $7 Slow Cooker Suppers to review I was thrilled. With the hopes of spring right around the corner who wants to be stuck in the house? I can't wait to start cooking through this ebook. We have a slow cooker going at least once a week.

This difference between this ebook and Molly makes $5 dinners is that Molly Makes $7 Slow Cooker Suppers is that there are SO many pictures through out the book. I love to be able to see what something is supposed to look like as its cooking. It is also a great helper for those little hands in the kitchen. My children love to help me in the kitchen, with the pictures it helps them see what its supposed to look like. They are more likely to do it on their own with a picture. It is not a step by step but very helpful.
I also love the fact that everything is broken down by cost. It is a great food budget tool. You know exactly how much a supper is going to cost you...give or take a little...depending on where you live and what you have stock piled.

So from Tamale Pie to Sweet and Sour Meatballs and everything in between go on over to The Old Schoolhouse book store and get this ebook. There are 140 easy, frugal and delicious recipes to prepare. There are even a few freezer friendly meals. There are soups and stews, beef, poultry, pork, meatless, sandwiches, and a bonus section sides, breakfast and desserts. Where else can you get a cookbook with this many recipes for $7.95??

Review~~Molly's Money Saving Digest February 2010

This month's edition of Molly's Money Saving Digest is yet again a GREAT publication. Molly starts out talking about potatoes. We use them in almost every supper. They are so versatile you can use them in everything from sweets to bread. There is so much information in the article that I was able to do a mini unit study with my children on potatoes. This issue of the digest is jam packed with a ton of frugal ideas from what is on sale in the stores to how to organize things in your home frugally. I am so excited to be working toward our goal of home organization. Here we are in February and we are well underway to that goal!!

Not only does Molly talk about organizing your home she talks about how to brighten your home up during the winter months. I do not know about you but I get so down during the winter months that I have to add color to our home. I love it...just a couple of items here and there and you can transform your home for just pennies!!

Molly even gives you a week of meal ideas that anyone can make. Seasoned cook or not these recipes are so easy to make. It is also a great way to get your children interested in the kitchen and cooking.

Kids corner will help you teach your children about money. I don't know about you but I really need to instill a good money habit in my children's life. I have never been good with money. But after many hours of prayer I'm getting better...these digests have really helped me see that you do not have to spend a lot of money to make your home bright, or prepare good food for your family. All you need is the tools and desire to learn how to cut costs.

So for $4.95 per issue you will receive those tools you need to start your way onto a new lifestyle. Do not wait...you will be so happy you did.

Review....Molly Gets Organized

I mentioned before that I've been blessed to be a part of the review team for Econobusters. Well as an added bonus she has graciously provided me with another product to review Molly Gets Organized~All in one place.

I was SO excited to dive into this ebook. One thing I really want to do this year is become organized and STAY that way. How many times do you clean your house to just turn around and the kids have messed it up on you! Well no more I'm staying on top of everything...including making the kids pick up after themselves.

Ok now back to the ebook...I tend to go off on tangents...LOL!! This is a whole collection of organizing articles from 2009. Each month there is something new to work on. What a wonderful addition to any library. You can pick a month and start organizing. WOOOHOO! Sixty-nine pages of wonderful organization glory! From an emergency kit for your car to creating a home inventory binder. The inventory binder is my next project because we have a large freezer in our basement that I always forget about...lol! I will have a handy list right where I need it so I do not forget about the large ham I have in the freezer.

My favorite article in this is organize without spending. I LOVE this. So many times people write articles about organization and you have to buy this and that ultimately spending so much money. Molly's tips are so easy and not expensive at all. From using everything from the cardboard container your foil comes in to using your glass jars (which I already do). I HIGHLY recommend you go on over to The Old Schoolhouse Store and look at this E-book.
