Finishing up the school year!  Next week will be our last week.

LOOKING AROUND THE HOUSE...

Reminisce from the birthday party yesterday.

Gardens that need tending.

FROM THE CAMERA...

Hannah and Andrew are playing on our homeschool baseball/softball teams.  This has been a big breakthrough for Hannah.  She was often picked on and made fun of when it came to team sports.  So when she wanted to play softball I was thrilled.  The night before she was very nervous.  So much so that she was physically sick.  We got there and she was still very nervous.  So we took the time to pray.  One by one her teammates showed up.  First thing they did was their devotional time.  Then the coach told them to pair up and throw the ball around.  I held my breath...then all of a sudden a young man about 16 years old came up to Hannah and asked if she had a partner.  She told him no.  He grabbed a ball and was playing catch with her.  He has taught her all about catching the ball.  It is such a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful organization where I do not need to worry about my child being made fun of because she is different.

SOMETHING FUN TO SHARE...

I filled out my LAST financial aid papers for college!!  I will be done in December.

ON MY PRAYER LIST...

Our future children...might sound weird to some.  But God knows who will come into our home.

Review.  We are coming to the end of our school year.  Testing will happen soon.

Hubby is taking a test.  The girls went for a walk.  Andrew is helping the neighbor with lawn clean up.  The dog is snoring at my feet.

I do not have anything fun to share.  :-)  We had a blessed Resurrection Day yesterday.

On my prayer list...

The Foster children we will one day care for.  I know that may seem silly to some.  But if you really think about it.  God already has this planned out.  He knows who will come into our home for some love.  He also knows who we will one day adopt as our own!!  I am so excited about this!!

Where would we be if God had no adopted us into His family?  Adoption has always had a soft spot in my heart.  My mom was adopted by a wonderful couple....my grandparents.  My husband and I have often talked about adoption.  The more we looked into it the more we realized how much it actually costs for out of country.  Then it dawned on us...there are so many children right here in need of a good loving family.

My husband and I have been praying about something HUGE!  We are sure it is the Lord's will for our family.  We are going to become Foster Parents.  We hope to adopt eventually through the foster care system as well one day.  But for now we plan to be a light to hurting children.  We have our first home visit next week.

After months of shopping around the Lord blessed us with

I was getting so discouraged!  We had a set price and what we wanted.  What I didn't do was give it over to God right from the beginning.  I wanted this...not this.  We drove and looked at so many vans.  We ended up back at the very first place we visited.  They had just got this van in.  It was listed on their website but not even on their lot for sale yet.  We asked about it.  They said sure take it for a spin.  We loved it!!  Our son ran in and told the salesman "winner winner chicken dinner" LOL!

Something fun to share...

I was looking through different blogs and came across a very nice magazine called "Keeper at Home".  It is published by a few Mennonite and Amish families.  I absolutely LOVE this magazine.  There are no colored advertisements, or a lot of hoopla!  All of the articles in it talk about a simple life according to the Bible.  I ordered the issues from last year and have been reading through them all!  I have also subscribed to it so when the new issue comes out I'll get it.

Children quietly reading their books of choice.  Dog is barking at anything that moves outside.  Cat is curled up on the couch.  Hubby is working on his school work.

Andrew is my husband's shadow.  He picked out the same slippers as him.  In this picture he wanted to be just like father, so he is also on the computer.  Love it!!

View from our hotel room.  The snow kept us from venturing out into Albany to explore the city.  But we did venture out to Chilis for dinner a couple nights.  This was the first time we had ever been there.
