Happy Homemaker Monday

The Weather...
We are in the 50's today.  Sunny and very windy.  It's a sweatshirt kind of day.

On my reading pile...
I'm up to my eyes in schoolwork.  So I'm reading the book of Acts and a book on Biblical Archaeology.

On my TV...
Army Wives season 4
Wind at my Back Season 3

On the menu for this week...
Today~Turkey Sausage and sweet potatoes
Tuesday~Pork Chops
Wednesday~Chicken
Thursday~Bean Soup
Friday~Grocery Shopping

On my to do list...
Get the house in order.  We have home visit #1 on Wednesday.

What I want to create...
Foster Child scrapbook.  I want to have it ready to keep pictures of the children that we will get over time.

In Homeschooling...
Review.  We are coming to the end of our school year.  Testing will happen soon.

Looking around the house...
Hubby is taking a test.  The girls went for a walk.  Andrew is helping the neighbor with lawn clean up.  The dog is snoring at my feet.

From the camera...

Something fun to share...
I do not have anything fun to share.  :-)  We had a blessed Resurrection Day yesterday.

On my prayer list...
The Foster children we will one day care for.  I know that may seem silly to some.  But if you really think about it.  God already has this planned out.  He knows who will come into our home for some love.  He also knows who we will one day adopt as our own!!  I am so excited about this!!

Bible verse, Devotional...
Ephesians 1:5
"having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasure of His will."

Where would we be if God had no adopted us into His family?  Adoption has always had a soft spot in my heart.  My mom was adopted by a wonderful couple....my grandparents.  My husband and I have often talked about adoption.  The more we looked into it the more we realized how much it actually costs for out of country.  Then it dawned on us...there are so many children right here in need of a good loving family.

I'm linking up with Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for this meme.

Thrilled you are opening your heart and home to foster children. Our family adopted four children from foster care. It is both challenging and rewarding. Hope your licensing process moves quickly so you can meet your first foster child very soon. :)
