Bestselling, award-winning author Kim Vogel Sawyer has many titles besides “writer.” As a wife, mother of three, grandmother of six, Sunday school teacher, and speaker, her life is full and happily busy. In her spare time she enjoys drama, quilting, and calligraphy. Kim and her husband make their home in Kansas, the setting for many of Kim’s novels.

I really enjoyed this book!  Children will be able to relate to Katy's and her trials.  Although she is Amish she is attending a public school to further her education.  She struggles with being different, sin, dress, and peer pressure...just like today's teenagers.  I want to read the rest of the series.

I will be giving this to my daughter to read for a book report.  And since I read the book already she will not be able to "flub" the report.  I highly recommend this book...young and not so young.
