When I'm not in the kitchen I'm teaching my kiddos...yes we are one of THOSE families.  We have been homeschooling now for 5 years and have loved every minute of it....well almost every minute...I'd be lying if I said every minute...LOL!

Civil War Reenactment

Last weekend we had the pleasure of going to the Civil War Reenactment at the Genesee Country Village and Museum.  We had such a good time.  There was so much to see and do.  Enjoy the pictures.  There are a lot of them!!  They even have a blog!!

We missed the big battle with more of the Calvary because our kids wanted to go home and play Civil War...LOL!

What to wear? Day 3

This has been such a wonderful week!  I've always heard people say "the clothes make the man", but never really gave it much thought to what I was wearing.  I've always been jeans and a tshirt kind of girl.  Even in high school! 

I've had such a change of heart about a lot of things.  I'm so ready to take on the day, get up shower first thing.  Especially today...Friday...In the past I would stay in sweats until after noon.  We do not have school on Fridays so I'd just stay in my lounge wear.  This dress I have on today is a lot like the one I wore on Wednesday, but much lighter in color.  These dresses are so comfortable.  Today is my house cleaning day and laundry.

Welcome to my blog.  If you are here from Friday Follow I'm so glad you stopped by.  Please feel free to grab a cup of coffee and have a look around.  I've been blogging for a 2 years this month!  My how time flies.  Below are a few pictures of introduction.

 

We are followers of Christ! I love my quiet time with Him every morning!

 

We all participate in Church.  Here are 2 of my children participating in the Resurrection Sunday service.  Hannah is in the pink dress and Andrew...well I think you can pick him out!  He was not very happy about being the only boy up there. 

Here is our oldest daughter...she loves to sing in the choir.  She just turned 16!

We love doing things together as a family.  My Husband and son are "scoping" out fish from their fishing hole!

My daughter loves to help me in the kitchen...it is also a great place to learn math...SHHH don't tell her she is doing math! :-)

We love to garden as a family.  This is my iris garden that I planted from plants my great grandmother gave me.  We also have 2 large vegetable gardens and an herb garden I'm slowly adding to.

Welcome to Friday Follow!  My blog is a place where I can talk about my husband, kids and being a Keeper of the home.  If you follow me I will follow you back.

Here are 10 things about me:

1. I'm a follower of Christ. My husband and I were saved on the same day 9-20-05.

2. My Husband is preparing for ministry.  He is finishing his BA degree in Christian Ministry.  He will then go onto Seminary at Liberty University.

3. We have 3 children, our oldest daughter turned 16 yesterday.  Our middle daughter turns 13 on the 8th.  Our son is 10.

4. We homeschool all of them.  We pulled them out of public school 4 years ago.

5. I enjoy gardening.  We have 2 vegetable gardens, and an herb garden.

6. We are trying to grow most of our food.

7. I am trying to loose weight, I have lost 26 pounds since February.

8. We are going through a rough patch, water damage to our house therefore we have to live with my parents.  But I am (trying) remembering that God is in control.

9. I love being a wife and keeper at home.

10. Cooking, and baking are my passion.
