Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather outside is...
Much colder than we had yesterday.  It was 60 degrees yesterday, currently it is 35.  This rollercoaster weather has got to go!

On the breakfast plate this morning...
Just coffee.  I still need to pick up some groceries.

As I look outside my window...
It is still dark outside.  The street lights are still on, neighbors have their Christmas lights lit up.  It rained overnight and the road is a bit wet.

Right now I am...
Sipping on my coffee, chatting with my husband.

As I look around the house...
Boxes need to be put back in the attic.  We put our tree up and decorated for Christmas.  This is the first year I've put up my village in a long time.

On today’s to do list...
Pick up a few essential grocery items
Do paperwork I need to finish
Work on a few church projects
Do Christmas cards
Get a package together I need to mail out

Currently reading...
1 Peter
An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving

On the TV today...
I'm going to start watching "The Road to Avonlea" series again.  I just love that show.

On the menu this week...
Monday~ Eggs and Hash
Tuesday~ Soup
Wednesday~ Pork chops
Thursday~ Something new in the crockpot.  I have not narrowed it down.

What I am creating at the moment...
I am working on knitting

New recipe I tried or want to try this week...
I have a few crockpot recipes I want to try.

Favorite photo from the camera...
During small shop Saturday we hit a few shop in town.  We have this small primitive shop in town called "The Country Junktion".  It was here I picked up these candles.  They look and feel like candles but are battery operated.  They are perfect for the sconces that my grandfather carved for us.  I've always been afraid to light a candle in them.  The flames flicker just like real ones.

From Scripture...
Psalm 42:1-3
As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my food day and night,
While they continually say to me,
“Where is your God?”

Hi Jen!

I love your village and especially those scones! So pretty. It's so fun to see folks decorations.

I LOVE the Avonlea series too. I've read all the Anne of Green Gables books twice at least and the Emily of New Moon ones too.

Have a great week & come visit me if you get a chance. ;)
