Thank you Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for hosting this each week.
Breakfast time…what is on the plate this morning? I almost never eat breakfast. The only time I do is when we are we are at camp. Since my husband works second shift we eat a very big lunch.
On today’s to do list... I will be painting the trim in the bathroom. Taking down the mini blinds in the dining room. I hope to get new curtains soon. Its so dark in the dining room. I also will be weeding the front gardens. They got away from me with all the rain we have had.
Currently reading... through Romans with my husband.
On the TV today... not sure really. Maybe I'll start Road to Avonlea again. We have the whole series on DVD. I so enjoy those kinds of series.
The weather outside is... going to be hazy, hot and humid. So maybe painting will have to hold off until tomorrow.
On the menu this week... Monday~ Chicken taco salad, Tuesday~ Pork Chops, Wednesday~ Homemade Mac and Cheese, Thursday~ Baked Chicken Legs
If I have a few minutes to myself, I will... use that time today to focus on God. So often any free moments I have become self-centered. I want my life to become (and stay) focused on God and what I can do for Him!
New recipe I tried, or want to try this week... Chicken Taco Salad. Its a variation of my Beef Taco Salad I've shared here before.
In the garden... weeds galore! We also have blackberries coming on our bushes!
Favorite photo from the camera...
Homemaking Tip... deep clean one room a week per month. This way it won't be overwhelming when you need to clean.
Visiting with Blog friends (blog to share)... I don't have any new this week. I have deleted my Facebook account. I had found it really took up so much of my time. I will now be taking a moment or two for blog searching. This is something I use to do way back before Facebook. In my opinion Facebook has become a breeding ground for bullies. Honestly it has been so freeing stepping away from it. I had intended to just take a break from it. But I don't see myself ever going back. This is my reason for this.
Philippians 4:8-9 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you."
Praying for... Chrissy and her children. Jake's mom, dad and siblings. Myself as I focus on what God wants for my life.
Bible verse, Devotional speaking to me... This verse was given to Jake's mom. The person who read it says it was Jake all the way. I agree. Even though many of my readers never had the pleasure of knowing him this verse will give you a little insight of who he was.
2 Timothy 4: 6-8
"For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing."

I love your balloon photo!
Hello, I'm visiting via Happy Homemaker MondaySounds like an industrious week ahead - hope it is a great one. I just finished my garden last week so have empathy for you as you deal with the weeds - it's quite liberating being free of them.
I can't wait until we have blackberry bushes next year. It'll be so nice to have fresh ones available.
I've flip flopped on the Facebook issue so much. I wish Facebook would let you have pages without profiles and then my problems with it would be solved. For now I spend as little time as I can on my personal profile and only a tad more on my page.
I really should try my hand at home made mac and cheese, it always sounds so good.
You know, since I've left Facebook, I have had quite a few friends take the plunge too, and they've all come back to tell me that they are so happy to have done so and how they don't miss it.
It's amazing isn't it?
I have to tackle the weeds in mine too, especially the rose bush areas, but it's been raining a lot and I haven't made it out there.
Have a great week Jen :)
Mmmmm blackberries. Maybe I should venture out to check my bushes.
