Happy Homemaker Monday

Hosted by Diary of a Stay at Home Mom

As I look outside my window...
I see snowflakes falling from the sky.  We are expecting another 8-10 inches tomorrow.  They are also saying we could get even more Sunday into Monday.  {SIGH}

Right Now I Am...
Getting ready to start sewing my son's quilt.

Thinking and pondering...
About the events of last week.  Whew what a whirlwind!!  We have learned to really go with the flow and adapt to what God places in our path.

On My bedside table...
Kindle and Bible

On My TV tonight...
Probably nothing.  I didn't sleep well last night.  I have nerve damage in my feet from when I broke my back.  The pain was in hyper-drive last night!!

Playing on the radio...
Kutless

On The Menu this week...
Monday~Hot Dogs
Tuesday~Homemade Mac n Cheese
Wednesday~Waffles and sausage
Thursday~Creamy bacon and potato soup

On My To Do List...
Work on the quilt
Organize the schoolroom
Study for class

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
Making my son's jean quilt

My simple pleasure...
I know I've said this before but just sitting in the quiet of the morning.  No sound except for the ticking clock.

Lesson learned the past week...
God's way is always the best.  We can make plans but God determines the outcome.

Looking Around the House...
Some dishes on the counter left from this afternoon.
Boots by the front door.
Sleeping dog on the couch.

From The Camera...

On my prayer list...
My husband
Our kids
Church
Family
My Dad's cousin who is competing in the Olympics and family traveling to see him.

Bible Verse, Devotional...
Proverbs 16:9 "A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps."

You left a comment my blog this last weekend and I have visited twice but haven't had time to comment yet. You have such a lovely blog, first of all. I just love the cozy header pictures. We are just learning to knit here. I am going to check out your recipes. Have a blessed week! We love potato soup, too.

I'm looking forward to reading more about that quilt you're making out of denim. Wanted to ask another question about the sesame noodle recipe, I'm stopping at the market to pick up some of the ingredients as I plan to make a batch tonight, you mention adding some orange juice, about how much would you say you added to the sesame sauce? I'm looking forward to trying it, and don't want to not get it right.

Mary~ I added about 1-2 Tablespoons of the orange juice. It would really depend on how much orange flavor you want.

This is the best recipe I got from Sandra!!

Oh my friend, you know the struggle I've been going through lately too, and yes, I'm there with you...have learned to stop fighting it and just go with the flow, it's the best way to live.

Hope you're having a good week so far.
