Homemaker Monday

Thank you Diary of a SAHM for hosting this each week.

Weather...is cold!  We are at 44 degrees this morning.  It's supposed to warm up quickly to 75 degrees.  Tomorrow on the other hand is back to summer.  We are headed for a few 90 degree days.  ICK!

Right Now I Am...Listening to Andrew get ready for school.

Thinking...how quiet it is first thing in the morning.  It's so peaceful first thing in the morning.  I am able to get my quiet time done before the busy day begins.

On My Reading Pile...Bible

On My TV...nothing right now.  Later it will probably be some news.

What I Found Surfing The Net...I did some blog reading this weekend.  I found Canning Granny while doing so.  If you like to can you will love this site.

On The Menu...
Monday~ Pork Chops
Tuesday~ Ranch Chicken
Wednesday~ Turkey pasta soup (?) Might have to change this after seeing the weather.
Thursday~ Goulash
Friday~ I'm headed to Women of Faith Conference so family will be on their own.

On My To Do List...
Laundry
Dishes
Pack for the weekend

In The Craft Basket... I am going to start a blanket.  It's where you crochet with a very large hook and 3 different colors of yarn at the same time.

Looking Forward to This Week...Becoming a little more settled into a routine.  We are getting there slowly.

Looking Around The House...A few things out of place from the weekend.

From The Camera... When the weather starts to get cooler I love going the museum and just stroll through the village.  The smells in the air scream fall to me.  The smell of bread baking in the Livingston-Backus house, the mid-day meal on the stove at the Jones Farm.

Praying For...My husband, he has taken over preaching for the whole month of September.  Our church, family, friends, missionaries.

Bible Verse... Psalm 3:3
"But You, O LORD, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts my head."

Living in Central NY (near Watkins Glen) I am amazed at the crazy changing weather. I feel like we are on a weather roller coaster! But I do cherish these humid days as the snow will start piling up before we know it.

Enjoy your weekend at Women of Faith. I haven't even been able to go to a conference, but I hear only positive things about them. God bless
