Happy Homemaker Monday

It has been a long time since I've posted a Happy Homemaker Monday.  So I have a few extra minutes while I'm waiting for dinner to finish.

The Weather~
SO cold!  We are supposed to get about 4-5 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow with bouts of freezing rain and ice.  ICK!  I pray my hubby makes it to and from work safely.

Right now I am~
Typing this post.  Listening to kids doing their chores.  Hannah is singing a hymn while doing dishes.  Katie isn't singing at all! LOL!  Andrew is trying to put his new bunk bed together.  I have a feeling I will be helping him later with it.

Thinking~
About how blessed we are!  We have a church family we love and adore.  We have a wonderful family.  The fact that our foster care approval has taken so long has given us a lot of time to re-do bedrooms.  So it's important to remember that God has everything under control.  Just because something doesn't happen on our schedule doesn't mean it will not happen at all. 

On my reading pile~

I have the pleasure of reviewing a DVD bible study.  I love it so far. 

On my TV~
Not much.  We tend to leave it off more.  I think a bit later I may watch some Little House on the Prairie.

Something Fun to share~
We bought a new dinning room set!  Well its new to us.  We bought it from friends of ours.  We have never had a matching set before.  It has a large table with six chairs, 2 leaves and a hutch!  With the hutch I am going to be able to hide away all of our homeschool stuff.  The dinning room will look a lot neater!!

I have not done our menu for this week yet.  It may just be a quick meals week.  I have painting to finish, floors to mop, laundry to do.  Ect...

Cozy bedrooms for us!  I cannot wait to share pictures of our bedroom.  My husband does not like flowers, lacy and all the "girly" things that most decorate with.  So we compromised....a little

My husband and I had the honor of standing up for one of my best friends' wedding this past weekend. Not only that, I also took pictures for them.  This couple has endured a lot over the past year.  I pray they will continue to walk through life hand in hand with Christ as the center of their marriage.
