Happy Homemaker Monday

The Weather...
We have a little of everything today...snow, ice, freezing rain, and just rain.  Just a plain nasty day.

Right now I am...
Watching Hannah and Andrew outside shoveling.  They love it.

Thinking...
of everything that needs to be done.

On my reading pile...
Bible
Goodbye to Yesterday by Wanda Brunstetter, this is a review I am really enjoying.

On my TV...
Weather channel and news.

Favorite blog post...
I came across some new-to-me blogs this week.  One was Our Old Homestead.  Her blog is really cute.  I just the her header photo of the barn.

Something fun to share...
We finished our eldest daughter's graduation paperwork.  I can't believe we will be graduating our first in June!  I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry.  My husband and I will be presenting her with her diploma at the NYS homeschool convention.  There is a nice graduation ceremony for homeschoolers in NY.

On the menu this week...
Monday~ Taco Salad
Tuesday~Buffalo Chicken Lasagna
Wednesday~Calzones
Thursday~Chicken Pot Pie
Friday~Chicken Tostadas
Saturday~Turkey Chili

On my to do list...
Laundry
Clean bathrooms

What I am creating...
I'm working on a schedule for cleaning and just getting stuff done.  I've put off so many projects while being in school.  We are cleaning out our collection room.  We are almost done there!  Then we will paint and put in new carpet.  Katrina will be taking over that as her room.  Then we will have an extra room for foster children.

Homemaking tips...
Creating a menu plan really helps out a lot.  We have been making our menu's for 3 weeks now.  I love knowing exactly what we will be having.  I prep a lot of the food at night.

Looking around the house...
A ton of boots and shoes by the door.
Winter coats taking up the coat rack.
Blankets draped over the couch.

From the camera...

Praying for...
Our church and the exciting ministries starting up!
Our children
Family

Bible verse...
Psalm 112:4
"Unto the upright there arises light in darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous."

I'm once again joining Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for this.  Come on over and join in!

Hi, found you through Sandra's blog! I just became a foster mom this past summer. Our foster son is a boy we have known for a long time and he has been a wonderful addition to our family. I plan to come back to read about your foster parenting journey.
