Chats on the Farmhouse Porch

One of the things I miss about living in the country is the peacefulness of it all.  Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful God has provided a nice house for us.  I just miss all of the things that comes with country living.  Someday our dream is to own a hobby farm.  So for now we shall just dream and bloom where we are planted.

I've decided to join Everyday Ruralty for the Chats on the Farmhouse Porch.  Although we live smack dab in the middle of the village we still live our lives simply.

So to join in you just answer the weekly questions and link up.  LOVE it!

Do you eat eggs? Yes! In all ways, shapes and forms!

What is your favorite way to serve them? I like a fried egg with the yolk still runny.  My family likes them scrambled.

Do you have a favorite item that you really like having around? (a pillow, a chair, a sweater, a teddy bear, etc.) The blanket my Mom crochet for me after my back surgery.

Is most of the furniture in your home dark wood, light wood, painted, lacquered, or distressed?  Mixture.  We do not have a "set" of anything.  They are pieces here and there!

Please fill in the rest of this sentence. "I could write a book about____________." That is a hard one, I do enjoy blogging, but I cannot say I am a writer.  I guess I could write a book about the process of becoming a foster family.

If money and calendar/family obligations weren't an issue, would you prefer to spend next weekend at a Bed and Breakfast, a posh hotel, a cabin in the woods, or on a sailboat on a calm body of water? No thought to that at all! A cabing in the woods.  With the snow all around.  How beautiful!  I picture it something like this....

Hi Jen, it always excites me when I get a new follower. I love making new friends and sharing our journeys of family, and interests like arts, crafts, gardening, music, cooking, and all things bright and beautiful.

Your blog is wonderful . . . a breath of fresh clean country air. I'm following back, and feel honored to have made your acquaintance.

Your newest blogging sister, Connie :)

Welcome to the porch! I like eggs a lot too. My furniture is a bit of this and a bit of that. Many people answered the last one with cabin in the woods. I hope you will join in on the chat next week too. If you can stop by Tuesday or Wednesday and add your post, you will get the most visitors then. Have a good rest of the weekend!

I forgot to answer your question from the comment you left. Wendell is a Hafflinger/Belgian, but he thinks he's human!7224 heuview
