Homemaking tips
Do not stress over everything being in its proper place in your home.  You want people to feel welcomed in your home.  If it feels so sterile people might feel a bit uptight.  I want my guests to enjoy their time here.  I'm trying to create a place where people feel welcome.

Looking around the house
I see joy.  Joy from a weekend together being a family.  Laughing and just plain being together.

From the camera

On my prayer list
Our family as we prepare for foster care
Church family
Extended family and friends

Bible Verse, Devotional
Psalm 31:14-15
"But as for me, I trust in You.  O Lord; I say you are my God.  My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me."

I'm joining Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker.

I love how you are so lax with your housecleaning! I'm the same way.. I want my house to look presentable, but I could care less if something is out of place.. as long as it looks comfortable and not messy... im cool wit dat! haha

Ham & Bean soup!!! Love it! Have you ever tried the 15 bean soups? I find them at the grocer where all dried beans are kept. They have a 15 bean soup for chicken, ham & one called Cajun 15 bean soup!! Can you tell I am starving!!

I have a new respect for Foster Parents. It is a long heart breaking story that I try not to think about but I had to give my grandson to foster care this Summer.

Thank You Sweet Jesus for folks like you! I pray he will bless & provide for you & your family in every way!!

I always say that I want my house to look lived in, not a museum. I can't stand homes where everything is so perfect, so sterile that I am afraid of even sitting on the couch....I guess I just want my home to reflect me and my family and we're definitely not uptight.
