Half-way through foster classes!

Last week, October 16, we completed our 5th class out of 10.  We are now half-way through our training.  All of our paperwork has been turned in and we are so excited.  This Thursday we have our next homevisit.  I'm a little nervous about it.  I'm trying not to be, but I think anyone in our position knows how I'm feeling.

 

Last week at our class we were talking about behaviors and discipline.  It was a fairly intense class.  It breaks my heart at some of the ways people use to "discipline" a child.  I'm not saying you should not discipline a child, but some of the ways we discussed was quite extreme.  Anyway, around halfway through the class I got a phone call on my cell phone.  Our kids were arguing and fighting at home.  OH great! Thankfully we were on a short break so I could sneak out into the next room.   I must have been gone a while because Matt came out to see what was going on.  We both came back into the room and was asked if everything was ok at home.  All I could do is laugh!  I said, "Oh lets just say this is a perfect class for what is going on at home."  LOL!
