Everyday Homemaking~Everyday Cooking

As you know I review for the Homeschool Crew.  That is where we review homeschool/educational materials and curriculum.  Well now I've been given the opportunity to review for the Molly Team.  I will be reviewing cooking, kitchen items and just all around fun stuff.  I'm excited to present to you our first review!!

Everyday Homemaking has practical ideas and helpful products to assist you in managing your household.  As a part of the Molly Review Team we were given the one of two different ebooks to review, Everyday Cooking and The Everyday Family Chore System

The one we were given to review was the Everyday Cooking ebook.

This book sells for $17.99 (print copy) and $14.99 (ebook).  You can purchase either right off their website.
There are many great recipes in
this book.  Some of the ones we made were:

Granola (page 27)
I love that this recipe was so simple.  I've made granola before, but it was nice having this recipe as a great baseline.

Sloppy Joes (page 44)
This recipe was much different than the one I've made before.  This was less sweet than what we are use to.  It was a big hit with the family.

Chili (page 45)
There are so many recipes out there for chili.  Hot ones, thick ones and thin ones.  It's also one of those meals you can add more or less depending on what your family likes.

Macaroni and Cheese (page 56)
This was very good!  Next time I'll make it in a smaller pan.  I've made mac n cheese before that has had a very flour(y) flavor.  Is that even a word?

This book was very well written.  It would be a great gift for a newly wed or even a high school student.   I really liked the beginning cooking check list.  I will be using this as a part of my children's home ec class this year.  I also liked the sample menu in the back.  I am so bad at planning our meals.  That is one area I am going to get better at.

If you would like to see the other reviews for these ebooks go on over to the Crew Blog and check them out.

Disclaimer~I was given a free ebook in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are my own.
