Knowledge Quest Map Trek~TOS Review

Knowledge Quest has many historical maps, time lines, geography curriculum, historical biographies and apps for your mobile devices.

Some member of TOS Homeschool review crew we were sent the MapTrek 6 E-Book Set.

Each MapTrek Ebook has an atlas plus historical outline maps that allows you to teach geography right along side your history.  With this set not only did I get teacher answer maps, black outline maps, and various other maps.  In addition to these you also get lesson plans, a glossary and instruction on how to use the maps.

The MapTrek 6 E-Book Set has all the world and US editions.

The MapTrek 6 E-Book Set sells for $47.00.

We were one of the very luck ones to be sent the complete collection all bound in a beautiful hardcover book!  OH MY let me tell you this book is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!  All the maps and lesson plans are now in one location.  This book came with a CD-ROM of the complete collection so we could print the maps for our children.

As we go through each of the 230 student outline maps, our children will be placing them into a binder.  They will have the complete collection once we complete the book.

This is a sample of what one of the maps look like.  The water is a light shade of blue to help your student pick out the land easier.

OUR THOUGHTS:
This has been one of our favorite reviews!  This is something that will be in our family for years to come.

This year we are planning to study all of the United States.  We will start with New York (of course) this upcoming school year.

Did I mention how much I loved this book??  It is SO worth the money.  I don't know about you but personally I like to have the book in front of me rather than on the computer.

The lessons are all planned out for me.  Love this!!  I'm not the kind of homeschool Mom that enjoys doing the lesson plans.  I would rather have them all "mapped" out for me....yes pun intended!!  So for review purposes we started in the section titled "Expansion: New World".  The lesson plans are broken up into 3 different levels, A (Grades 1-4), B (Grades 5-8) and C (Grades 9-12).

Our first unit was all about the New World and landforms.  Although we have learned this before, it was a great review for them.  We printed out the "World Map".  We chatted about the world and that God created everything we see in nature.  We labeled oceans, continents and our favorite coloring the map!

If you are teaching multiple grades and levels this book is a must for you.  Everything is right there for you!  No more guessing on what you should be doing with child so-n-so.  You can now teach geography to all grade levels with just one book.  Where have you ever seen this before??
