I have been addicted to Pinterest for sometime now. I love having everything in one location. Well the other day I came across this recipe. I was in a baking mood yesterday so decided to give it a try. This was SO easy to make. I love cinnamon anything. I honestly have never made cinnamon rolls...ever! AND since my breadmaker busted yesterday as well I needed something take my sorrows away.
Cinnamon Roll Cake
Cake part:
3 C flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 C sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 C milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C butter melted
Topping:
1 C butter softened
1 C brown sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the first 7 ingredients together until well combined. Gradually add the melted butter. Mix until combined.
Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan that has been greased. Mix topping and drop onto batter, then swirl with a knife.
Bake for 28-32 minutes.
Glaze:
2 C Powdered sugar
5 Tbsp milk
1 tsp milk
While warm pour over the cake. If you can stand it...let it sit until it's cool.
Next time I'm going to try and reduce the amount of butter in it.
