PRODUCT INFORMATION:
Reading Kingdom is a fun interactive online program where your child will learn reading, spelling and basic typing. Lessons are geared toward children ages 4-10. The lessons are fun and will hold your child's attention. There is a friendly owl to guide your child through. If your child doesn't have keyboarding skills do not worry. The program will even teach them this. It is suggested that your child use Reading Kingdom 4 to 5 days a week. Each lesson takes about 20 minutes to complete. Each level in the Reading and Writing level will take about 10-15 weeks depending on your child. Each level builds your child's word library.
COST:
You receive a free 30 day trial. After that, subscriptions to Reading Kingdom are $19.99/month (with no monthly minimum), or $199.99 per year. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
OUR THOUGHTS:
This program was very self explanitory right from the start. There is nothing more frustrating than getting a program (online or via software) and have to spend hours figuring out how to use it. This is not the case with Reading Kingdom. All I had to do was a few simple steps and the kids were off and reading!!
I am using this with Hannah age 13 and Andrew age 11. Hannah has Auditory Processing disorder and needs extra work with her reading. This program has been a gift from God...I'm not over playing it at all. The program is so well done. The compliments she gets for completing each level has been amazing. She loves to "play" her game. We have seen such an increase in Hannah's reading level since starting Reading Kingdom. But most importantly her confidence in herself has gone way up!
Andrew is age 11 and just does not like to read. He just doesn't like to sit period. This program is amazing at holding his attention. He loves how fun they made reading! He is continuing to advance in reading levels. He will now sit and read books. Thank you Reading Kingdom for giving our children the confidence they need to improve their reading!!
When looking for curriclum do not just look at the age group for it. You may miss out on a gem for your family. I'm SO happy we were able to review this program. We look forward to using it more!!
