Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods...
Cold but a bit warmer!  High of 30!

Things that make me happy...
Knowing that God will supply ALL our needs.

Book I'm reading...
God is Good by Randy Alcorn
Taking out your emotional trash by Georgia Shaffer
Beside Still Waters by Tricia Goyer

What's on my TV...
Christmas shows.  I could watch these all year!

On the menu for dinner...
Pancakes and bacon for lunch
Sandwiches for supper

On my To Do list...
finish shopping~~I really dread shopping anytime of the year.  But especially now!!

New recipe I tried or want to try...
I recently joined Paperback Swap.  I got my first cookbook today...Asian Cooking.  So I want to make the Egg Rolls!!!

In my craft basket...
Nothing right now.  BUT after CHRISTmas I'm going to scrapbook again.  I really miss my scrapbooking day with my friend.  She moved away and I really never got back to scrapbooking.  I need to find another scrapbooker to get together with!!

Looking forward to this week...
CHRISTmas
CHRISTmas to be over.  We do not and have not had extra money this year.  We are lucky that our children are pleased with whatever they get.  We still have to buy for the nieces and nephews.

Tips and Tricks...
Do not overload your schedules at CHRISTmas.  This is a time for reflection on what Christ came to do for us.  It's a glorious time...if we are stressed with so much to do we will not remember why we have CHRISTmas.

My favorite blog post this week...
Did not get to many blogs this week.

Blog hopping (new blog I discovered this week)...
Did not get to any new ones this week.

Favorite Photo (mine or another's)...
we went on our Yuletide Tour this past Saturday!  It was so much fun.  I'm very disappointed in how the pictures turned out.  We could not use flash photography, so I had to use the candle light setting.

Lesson learned the past few days...
Life is a journey...not a race.  So many times I get tired of waiting for God's timing and start to get impatient.

Devotionals, key verses, Scripture Reading...
Psalm 25:5
"Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
         For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day."

Great list! Pancakes and bacon for lunch sounds delicious; I am certain that my family would love it!

Thanks for the reminders about being patient and keeping our focus on the real meaning of Christmas.

Love your list...
I love Christmas time but I am so tired of the gifts, the worry the stress, when all I want to do is enjoy some quiet time with family and focus on the real meaning. Without Jesus, we wouldn't be where we are today!
I think your photo still came out gorgeous! Great picture!! Great lesson learned and love the scripture!
Have a very Merry and Blessed CHRISTmas!

Loved reading your list Jen.

So true about keeping focus on CHRISTmas, it's way too easy to lose sight of what's important.

I love Christmas but honestly by this time I'm just ready to be done with everything and get my house back to normal LOL
