Simple Woman Daybook

Outside my window... ~
cloudy with the sun trying to make an appearance...around 65 degrees.
I am thinking... ~
how blessed I am to have a husband and father who know about home construction.
I am thankful for... ~
parents who put us up while our bathroom is being fixed.
From the learning rooms...~
review for exams.
Books on the Civil War.  We are going on a Civil War tour at a Living History Museum near our home.  We are all very excited!!  If you are ever in the Buffalo/Rochester, NY area you really should visit this museum.

I am wearing... ~
black top and mauve skirt
I am remembering... ~
how much I love our home.

I am going... ~
to plant our gardens this week!!  Hot Peppers, Tomatoes, Bell Pepper, Cucumbers, Butternut Squash, Onions (already done), Lettuce (already planted), Spinach (already planted), green beans
I am currently reading... ~
1 and 2 Kings
a few books for review
I am praying... ~
everything continues to go smoothly on our bathroom.  It's been 3 weeks...I'm ready to go home.
On my mind... ~
end of the year tests for our children
Our garden preperations
Noticing that... ~
no matter how much I complain about our home being too small for us, I really do miss it when we are away.

Pondering these words... ~
Psalm 18:1-2
"I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength,
in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
From the kitchen... ~
Ham and Potatoes with corn
Freshly baked bread
perhaps some type of dessert
Around the house... ~
SO much to do.

I am creating...~
cards

One of my favorite things ~
smell of our bed linens hung out to dry.

A few plans for the rest of the week…~
Tuesday work on the house
Wed. night service at church
Friday night Civil War tour
Ladies Luncheon Saturday at church
From my picture journal…~
Life back then was hard yet simple!

Thank you for visiting me! You have a wonderful blog! I hope you can return home soon...I know all too much about renovations.

I left a comment on my blog about the book "Created to be His Helpmeet" but just in case, I thought I'd leave a note here about it...I thought it was the most wonderful book I've ever read. I can see how some women would have a hart time with it, but if one truly read it with an open and commited heart, they would find that everything in it is truly scriptural, and God's design. I have been so blessed by it, and will never be the same. If nothing else, I recommend reading the chapters on what type of man your husband is. It gives better insight to understanding your man than anything I've ever read. And it tells you how you can make or break your relationship based on his personality type. Amazing!

Clothes on the line ~ it's cheaper than therapy!
Dreaming of a garden...the climate is too hot for a summer garden where I live.
Simple times ~ not so much, but definitely quieter.
