Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Cold!!  We had snow yesterday!! Today is in the mid 50's and sunny.

Things that make me happy:
hearing my children pray and acknowledge God is in control of their lives.

Book I'm reading:
Bible
Divanomincs
Captivating
10 Things Every Minister's Wife should know (GREAT book)

What I'm enjoying on TV:
Nothing!  I watch the weather in the morning then nothing else.  I'm really enjoying all this "found" time.

On the menu for dinner:
Hubby is cooking...Potatoes O'Brien...with tater tots instead of diced potatoes

On my To Do List:
laundry...does this ever end??? LOL
Go to consignment store and look for some skirts and or dresses

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:

Haystack Supper

24 soda crackers, crushed
1&1/2 lbs. hamburger, browned, and taco seasoning added
Head of lettuce, chopped
3-4 large tomatoes, diced
3-4 green peppers, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 lb. spaghetti, cooked and drained
2 c. of shredded Cheddar cheese

Put some spaghetti on your plate first and then layer each of the above ingredients on your plate. Top with shredded cheese.

In the craft basket:
nothing much, I'm working on some crochet projects...We are still living with my parents so its difficult to work on sewing, even scrapbooking....boo hoo! :-)

Looking forward to this week:
just having a quiet week

Tips and Tricks:
To have a fresh smelling house, take a lemon peel, orange peel and cinnamon simmer on the stove...just watch the water.

My favorite blog post this week:

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
Adventures of a Stay at Home Mom--she has such a quiet and meek spirit.  I really enjoy reading her blog!

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

Lesson learned the past few days:
no matter how much I've complained about our home being too small in the past...I miss being home!!  We are now on week 3 of living with my parents while our bathroom is being remodeled.

On my mind:
Questions about the way I dress.  Am I seeking to become conformed to the image of Christ or the image that our ever changing society throws in front of me?

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:

1 Timothy 2:9-10

" in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works."
