Slow Cooking Thursday

To see other recipes from Slow Cooking Thursday visit Sandra at Diary of a SAHM. This recipe is a great alternative to the canned soup, kids love it!

Alphabet Soup

1 lb. ground beef or turkey, browned and drained
1 can (14 1/2 ounce)tomatoes (which ever type your family likes)
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables, partially thawed
1 cup uncooked alphabet pasta

Combine meat, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, and soup mix in greased 3 1/2 to 5 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook 6-8 hours on low heat. A half hour before serving, stir in vegetables and alphabet pasta. Cover and cook 30 mins. on high heat. Add more water if it gets too dry or thick.
