Slow Cooking Thursday

This is my take on a recipe I found on Allrecipes.com. To see other slow cooking recipes stop by Sandra's Blog at Diary of a SAHM.

Pulled Pork

1 (4-6 pound) shoulder pork roast (you could use less but this is needed for our crew)
1 (12 oz) can of root beer
1 (18 oz) bottle of BBQ sauce (We like bullseye)
1 onion diced small
Hamburger buns

Place the pork in a slow cooker; mix ½ cup of the BBQ sauce and the rootbeer then pour over the meat. Add onion. Cover and cook on low until well cooked and the pork shreds easily, 6 to 7 hours. Drain well and shred the pork. Return pork to the slow cooker and add remaining BBQ sauce, cook for another hour or until heated through. Serve over hamburger buns.

Like everyone else I have never heard of root beer in pulled pork. You will have to give a family review on it.

Thanks for stopping by and Take Care :)
