Word Filled Wednesday

2 Timothy 1:7

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

This verse was printed out and hung above my sister when she was in the ICU at the hospital. My parents read this verse everyday. It became their crutch during the days of not knowing if she would survive. God always has a reason for why things happen in life. It is not for us to ask why...we are just to give the situation over to him. I am thrilled to say that my sister has recovered from her illness, somewhat. Sadly, she will probably never come home, she will be in an assisted living hospital for the remainder of her life. But God knows the reasons.

Even though we may never fully understand why things happen the way they do, our Savior knows best and is in control. What a testimony your parents have to share with others as to how they clung to God in this time of need. Praying for your family.

Happy WFW! Blessings!
