Happy Homemaker Monday

Is it Monday already??! Where did the weekend go?  It seems like the weekends go by so fast.  I cherish the weekends because during the week my husband and I only see each other an hour a day.  An hour in the morning.  When he gets home from work I am already sleeping.  But this is our season of life.  We have to do what we need to.

Breakfast time…what is on the plate this morning...
Toast and homemade peach juice jelly.  So good!

On today’s to do list...
Work today.  I sometimes do not feel like it is work.  I babysit my niece and nephew.  They are so much fun!

Currently reading...
Bible~ 2 Peter
"One Heartbeat Away" by Mark Cahill

On the TV today...
Nothing much today.  Perhaps some Waltons later.

The weather outside is...
Fall-like!  Beautiful!!  There is a crisp breeze rustling the leaves outside.  This is my favorite time of the year.  I do like winter as well.  But now that I will be out in the snow more this year we shall see if I feel the same.

On the menu this week...
I have been making nothing during the week.  It is a simple soup and quick meals for my family.  I try to do my big meals on the weekend.  We have been busy canning so there has been nothing new.  My daughter Katrina has been taking over the cooking.  That has been a big blessing!

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will...
Enjoy the peace and quiet.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week...
I made the Peach Juice Jelly this week.  It is SO good.  Today we will be making up some hot pepper jelly.

In the garden...
Nothing from here.  But we have been blessed beyond anything we could have imagined!!  God has provided so much for us this year in the way of produce.

Favorite photo from the camera...

Homemaking Tip...
Have everyone pitch in to help out.  I do the major scrubbing of the rooms but everyone is expected to do their part.

Visiting with Blog friends (blog to share)...
No new blogs this week.

Praying for...
Family
Our family as we work to get services for our daughters
My husband to find a day position

Bible verse, Devotional speaking to me...
2 Corinthians 1:3-7
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.  And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation."

Praying for you all and for Matt to find the day position.

I love Fall too and I love winter, people always look at me funny when I say I love the snow hahahahah But yes, now that you will be out there driving more, we'll see how you enjoy it. Just stay safe :)

Glad Katrina has stepped in to take over the cooking, that is a wonderful thing. How is she and Hannah and Andrew doing? I really feel like I've lost contact with everyone since leaving Facebook, but oh well, I wouldn't trade the peace I have now over that. :)

Have a wonderful week Jen,
Sandra
