Happy Homemaker Monday!

Thank you Diary of a Stay At Home Mom for hosting this.

As I look outside my window...
a light snow is starting to fall.  It's 18 degrees out right now.

Right Now I Am...
Waiting to hear about my Dad having knee replacement surgery.  He should be done any moment.

Thinking and pondering...
About the upcoming year.  This has been one of the most difficult years we have had.  It just seemed to be one thing after another with no relief.  One thing I have learned over this past year is that I cannot control things.  I have to let go and give it ALL over to God.  Let me tell you that is a very difficult thing to do.  Especially when my children are involved.

On My bedside table...
Bible
Kindle with all kinds of books on it.

On My TV tonight...
Not sure.  I've been sick for over a week and done nothing but watch TV.  I'm about had my limit of it.

Playing on the radio...
Praise and Worship music

On The Menu this week...
Since I've been sick it's been just simple meals of soup and sandwiches.  We will continue to have that until I have my energy back.

On My To Do List...
Get better.  That is about all I have the strength for.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
Still working on the lap afghan.  I still have the knitting I plan on learning.  Just have to wait until my head is clear.

My simple pleasure...
Listening to my children laugh and giggle.

Lesson learned the past week...
Embrace the good days.

Looking Around the House...
I would rather not look around the house.  You know how it is when Mom is sick.  {Sigh}

From The Camera...

On my prayer list...
My Dad who is having knee replacement surgery
My son as he heads back to school.

Bible Verse, Devotional...
Psalm 116:1-2
"I love the LORD,  because He has heard my voice and my supplications,
Because He ahs inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live."

My Kindle also have a WIDE variety of books on it. I try to read one Christian fiction, one Christian non-fiction, an educational/librarian focused book, and a Young adult fiction (hard to find a clean and decent one that doesn't involve vampires!).
Also it is nice to see other moms get sick of the tv. Hard to do anything else when you don't feel good but aren't able to sleep. Do you listen to audiobooks? Sometimes that helps me!

Have a blessed 2014 - I will be praying that the year to come is a blessing from God and that He directs your steps and daily lives with His grace!
