Vocabulary Spelling

When I mention vocabulary or spelling I am usually met with a collective sigh!  Especially from my boy.  Put those two words in the same website and I pretty much got a fit!  Why you ask?!  When I mention those words it usually means writing.  That is something Andrew does not like O.N.E bit.  When I told him it was all on the computer he was more than happy to try this one out.

I was given a one year Premium Membership to Vocabulary Spelling City as a member of TOS Review Crew.  The Premium membership is $29.99 per year.

With this program you can either use their lists or enter your own.  Since we do a lot of unit studies it is great to put in our own that go with our unit.  Once the list is input let the fun learning begin.  SHHHH please do not tell the kids they are learning.

We are also learning about all the states this year.  So I was VERY happy to see that there are lists to go along with that.  These are already in the program.  How cool is that?!  So we started with Alabama for this review.  Words like peanuts, Dixie, yellowhammer, coal and much more are included in the list.

There are flashcards for each list.  You can print the cards or view them online.  Viewing them online is pretty neat.  The kids loved this.  You just click on the card and it flips over to reveal the meaning of the word.

There is a sentence writing section as well.  When I told Andrew he didn't need paper or a pencil for this he literally jumped for joy!!  They just need to type the sentence into the spot and they were good to go.  It's a win win for everyone!

For kids that just enjoy worksheets, like our daughter Hannah, there is an option for those as well.  This has something for everyone!

There are SO many learning activities in this site I could go on and on.  So the best way for you to learn all there is to learn about Vocabulary Spelling City is to check it out for yourself.

I highly recommend this program!!  IT will be the BEST $30 you will ever spend!

As with all my reviews you can go to TOS Review Crew's blog and see what the other reviewers are saying.  Just click on the banner.
