Homemade Frappe

It has been pretty warm and humid here this week.  One of my favorite summertime drinks is the frozen coffee drinks from various coffee shops.  What I don't like is spending the money on them.  So I came up with my own variation today.


Carmel Frappe


12 ounces of strong coffee brewed over ice



1/4 cup vanilla ice cream


1-2 tablespoons Carmel


Place all the ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Oh boy that sounds good! I love the caramel macchiatos from Starbucks but who can afford them these days? (Not to mention all those calories!) I've got some Dulce de Leche ice cream in the freezer right now, and I'm thinking if I use your recipe I might get something that tastes like a cold caramel macchiato. Thanks!
