Every Valentine's Day my husband and I do not usually go all out. We usually get each other a card (or sometimes I make him one) and some candy. So this is just what I did for him. I found a very cute chocolate shaped fish. He loves to go fishing. I also got him a heart shaped box of chocolate.
Song of Solomon 2:16
"My beloved is mine, and I am his,
He feeds his flock among the lilies."
This morning I got up as usual and there was no card or candy anywhere for me. Hmm I thought. I was a bit disapointed but soon got over it. Because this man that God has given me really does show me everyday how much he loves me. I'm so thankful he doesn't wait until February 14 every year to do so.
Ephesians 5:25
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her."
I was preparing our Valentine's Day supper of Spaghetti and meat sauce when all of a sudden our son comes running into the kitchen with a beautiful black and gold box. I wish I had taken a picture of the box, but I didn't.
Inside the box was....
A dozen colored roses!!
Beautiful!! The yellow rose is my favorite.
But then again red roses are devine!!
Song of Solomon 2:12
"The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land."
Beautiful peach colored rose.
Remember to keep Valentine's Day in your marriage all year. Do not forget to show your husband everyday how much you adore him!!
Proverbs 31:11
"The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain."
