For Today...January 21, 2008

Dear Lord,

I bring you my shortcomings... when things are going wrong I cry out to you, wondering why you have done this to us. Then over and over again I realize you are not "doing" this to us. I constantly worry over things that are beyond my control instead of giving you everything, including our finances.

I bring you my worship and praise... over your continued blessings on our family.

I bring you my prayer... of thanksgiving for your watch care over us in our times of need. I am humbled by your care over us. I ask that you help me turn my worries in to praise.

You spoke to me... last night when we were without heat. While I was in my "poor us" state you gave me peace and comfort knowing that you would be there for us.

*side note....we had no heat last night when it reached 9 degrees....but praise God we have an electric fireplace to keep us warm. The children enjoyed their "camp out" in the living room. Also our pipes did not freeze!!
