Our foster care journey...

And we are still waiting for our homestudy to be approved.  We heard from our caseworker yesterday.  She said our homestudy is almost complete.  Then she will mail the document to us for us to review.  We must look it over to make sure it's all correct and sign it.  Then we have to mail it back to her for final approval.

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

I have to be honest...I am really getting tired of waiting.  We know that God has this in His control.   We have been using this time to rearrange a couple of rooms.  We have a storage/den room off of our livingroom that we are cleaning out.  This will become our 18 year old daughter's room.  It has been a long drawn out task.  This is where we have been storing the books my husband uses for his sermon research.  As well as items my Dad has not removed yet.

"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit." Psalm 34:18

Our daughter's old room will become a room for a baby up through toddler age.  So we will be painting both of these rooms soon.  I'd also like to put new carpet in our daughter's new  room.

So we are keeping busy while we waiting on bringing our children home.  We know God has them all picked out.  We just keep praying and preparing.

We came across a blog called Family Starts Here.  It is operated by Children Awaiting Parents.  They are a not-for-profit organization that helps children find their forever families.  Go on over and like their blog.  Even if you are not called to adoption, someone who reads your blog just might be.

Thanks so much for telling others about our little blog! We love what we do and we'd love to help anyone out there on their adoption journey. Our services are free to families and the kids we feature on our site are pretty cool so definitely check us out!

Jen - we wish you and your family all the best on your adoption journey. We know there is a lot of waiting but hang in there - your future children thank you. :)
