Thank you Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for hosting this each week.
As I look outside my window I see frost. It was 23 degrees this morning.
Right Now I Am drinking my second cup of coffee.
Thinking and Pondering that I am so ready for this year to be OVER! This has been the worst year on record for our family. So many terrible things have happened to us. It's getting to the point where I'm afraid to face the mornings.
On My bedside table is my Bible. I've been reading through Psalms.
On My TV is Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.
What I Found Surfing The Net is a neat little blog called Of Home and Farm.
On The Menu
Monday~ Hamburger Soup
Tuesday~ Monterey Chicken
Wednesday~ Turkey Chili
Thursday~ Sweet Italian Meatball Pasta
Friday~ Chile Chicken Chowder
On My To Do List is laundry, cleaning, doctor appointment for Andrew.
What I am "trying" to create is some crochet. I am so sad I have not had a chance to pick it up at all. I had such plans for making my kids blankets for Christmas.
My Simple Pleasure is standing outside on a cold night. The stars are just so bright. There is the smell of wood burning. I just love it.
Looking Forward to This Week going to a food co op. My mom use to go a lot when I was young. Hannah and I will make a trip tomorrow to order ours.
Looking Around The House a few things that need to be done.
From The Camera is a picture of Andrew getting his cast. What I haven't said before is that the week before he was injured in a football game. He took a nasty hit to the knee. Had to take him to the ER the next morning after the game. Then this past Monday he was pushed from behind by a student in school. He fell and broke his hand in 4 places. The doctors were worried at first that it would require surgery. Thankfully it does not. He has been in so much pain. The doctor put him on some pain meds. Which resulted in him missing school most of last week. Sadly the school principal did not hear about the incident until Thursday (when I called him). Needless to say he was not happy with how the school staff handled it. He hired us a tutor for Andrew so he could stay current with his studies.
Praying For nothing more to happen between now and the end of this year. It's the first year I actually look forward to the end of the year!! 2013 has been a horrible year!
Bible Verse
Psalm 3:3-4
"But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
I cried to the Lord with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill."

So sorry to hear you have had such a hard year. The seasons, ebbs and flows of our life can be challenging and hard at times but our trust is in the Lord... and faith that we can stand on His Word and believe that He will turn it all for good to those of us who love and serve Him. God be with you and may you have a blessed 2014, May God restore above and beyond all the locust has eaten.
Do you know that the "Of Home and Farm" people are old friends of ours from Antioch?
